How Ginny Bishop Consulting partnered with Slow Food Denver to help them exceed their fundraising goal from the previous year by 2X
Ginny Bishop Consulting + Slow Food Denver: Strategic Partnership with Big Impact
Background
Slow Food Denver is a chapter of Slow Food U.S.A., a global, grassroots movement that links the pleasures of growing, cooking, and eating food with the community and environment. They are committed to the enjoyment of local food by all members of the community, seeking to create a more just and sustainable food system.
Challenge
Slow Food Denver turned to Ginny Bishop Consulting to overcome the challenge of having a lean staff and a limited budget while needing to boost their fundraising capabilities and enhance their team's in-house expertise related to the Colorado Gives Day Campaign. Through our partnership, we helped them create a comprehensive roadmap that significantly increased their fundraising success and equipped their internal team with valuable insights and strategies for future campaigns.
Solution
Our solution began with a 2-Day VIP Session where we audited Slow Food Denver's current campaign and developed this year’s strategy.
Ginny Bishop Consulting then guided the staff through role-playing exercises to enhance donor engagement to secure a challenge match.
Once the match was secured, we handled copywriting, design, and the creation of an email campaign and social media posts for use in the upcoming months.
When the campaign launched, we provided real-time support, helping them exceed their fundraising goal from the previous year by 2X. By the end, their team was confident and prepared for future fundraising efforts.
“Ginny was absolutely a delight to work with. She is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, but also a good listener who understands the ways we can pivot to grow our organization with the funding support that we need.”
