Seniors Resource Center

How Ginny Bishop Consulting partnered with Seniors Resource Center to create a unified, human-centered campaign that drove record-breaking results.

Ginny Bishop Consulting × Seniors Resource Center: Innovation in Action

The Challenge

Seniors Resource Center had participated in Colorado Gives Day in previous years, but the campaign had not been positioned as a central driver within a broader fundraising strategy. Opportunities existed to more intentionally leverage storytelling, social media, leadership participation, and challenge matches to build momentum across both Colorado Gives Day and End-of-Year giving. SRC partnered with Ginny Bishop Consulting to unlock these levers and create a more connected, donor-centered campaign.

The Approach

Ginny Bishop Consulting designed and executed a fully turnkey fundraising strategy that intentionally connected Colorado Gives Day and End-of-Year giving into a single, cohesive arc.

At the center of the work was a human-centered storytelling framework that invited seniors to tell their own stories—grounded in dignity, lived experience, and belonging. Rather than positioning donors as rescuers, the campaign reminded supporters that they, too, have a story to tell, reframing giving as an expression of shared values and identity.

This storytelling approach was carried consistently across every touchpoint, including:

  • Unified campaign themes (For All We Are and Because We Are)

  • A leadership-secured $25,000 challenge match

  • “Meet a Senior” storytelling across email, social media, and web

  • A refreshed, donor-centered digital giving experience

  • SRC’s first fully designed and executed End-of-Year email and social campaign

  • Active Board and leadership engagement supported with clear tools and scripts

  • A pilot neighborhood direct-mail postcard campaign to expand reach and acquisition

  • Strategy transfer through editable templates to support long-term internal capacity

The Results

By intentionally connecting Colorado Gives Day and End-of-Year giving into a unified strategy, SRC raised more than $105,000, exceeding the combined fundraising goal by over 40%.

Beyond the numbers, the campaign shifted how fundraising showed up at SRC. Seniors were centered as storytellers, donors were engaged as participants in a shared narrative, and Board and leadership members stepped forward as visible ambassadors. SRC now enters future giving seasons with a repeatable, human-centered fundraising framework designed for sustained growth.

Leadership & Capacity Building

In parallel with campaign strategy and execution, Ginny Bishop Consulting provided year-long executive coaching to SRC’s Director of Development. This support increased strategic bandwidth, strengthened leadership decision-making, and ensured continuity across Colorado Gives Day, End-of-Year giving, and ongoing fundraising planning—allowing the work to move forward with clarity, confidence, and sustained momentum.

“Ginny Bishop and her team made a meaningful difference in how we approach fundraising. Starting with Colorado Gives Day, they helped us design and execute a campaign that was highly successful and set the foundation for our 2026 fundraising plan. Ginny’s team listens carefully, learns quickly, and implements with clarity and precision. I highly recommend them.”
